Carl Robinson was born a slave in New Orleans in 1824. His master's daughter got pregnant by a slave and Carl was blamed. Carl was shot dead, but awoke and ran away. He was eventually caught by slave hunters and sold to Matthew McCormick, a fellow immortal and the son-in-law of Carl's master. Matthew kept Carl hidden and taught him the rules of the game. Carl killed his master in revenge and spent his life running, then eventually starting a life as a professional baseball player.
Play in conjunction with the Carl Robinson Persona. You begin the game with +1 Ability. Your Master cards cannot be countered or removed from the game by your opponent.

Carl Robinson -- Blade of Freedom
The Falchion is a one-handed, single-edged sword of European origin, whose design is reminiscent of the Persian Scimitar and the Chinese Dao. The weapon combined the weight and power of an axe with the versatility of a sword. Falchions are found in different forms from around the 11th century up to and including the 16th century. Since the 13th century there have been two basic designs, the Cleaver Falchion, also known as the Conyers Falchion, and the Cusped Falchion which is more of a straight blade with a cusped tip.
UPSIDE: One Basic Attack or Basic Block played from a Hard Exertion may be a Power Blow or Power Block without an Exertion. Once per turn you may place one non-gridded card from a Hard Exertion in your Hand.
DOWNSIDE: You cannot use any effect to alter the size of your Hard Exertions.

Matthew McCormick was born in Salisbury, England in 1222. He was a nobelman, that met his first death in 1255 by being skewered in a jousting tournament. He was found and trained by Cierdwyn. Matthew always had a sense and passion for justice and the law. Throughout the centuries, he has proven that by the jobs he has had, whether it be taming the Wild Weset with Mako as a U.S. Marshal, or his current occupation as an F.B.I. special agent.

The Cortana has been in existence since the 13th century. It was mainly used by knights, paladins, and noblemen. The most popular Cortana to date is named "Curtana", also known as the Sword of Mercy, and is one of the Crown Jewels. It is still used in many British ceremonies, including the ceremony when the British Monarch knights someone.
UPSIDE: You may include and use up to nine cards titled "Counter" in your deck. You may nullify any Cost to play cards titled "Counter".
DOWNSIDE: You may not include or use cards titled "Evade".
