Born in 1974, he lost is foster mother at a young age and raised himself on the city streets. He was six months shy of his 18th birthday and an adult criminal career when he stumbled upon Duncan and Connor doing the Knights of the Round Table thing. Killed in 1993 by a gun shot wound, Richie learned of his immortality and was trained by Duncan MacLeod. After leaving Duncan MacLeod and going off on his own, Richie Ryan seemed to find his stride and his attitude. No longer borrowing tricks from other immortals, Richie now relies on his experience and lessons learned to not only keep his head but to take a fair number of heads.
